Ariana Grande had a tough 2018. She got engaged, and then broke up with her fiancee, and her ex-boyfriend passed away from a drug overdose. She took these events and made it into a hit song! As soon as thank u, next was released it hit the top of the charts and the video broke the internet as well.

But what do the lyrics really mean? Tim takes a look behind the lyrics at thank u, next and explains some of the expressions, phrasal verbs and grammar behind the lyrics.
